One Pillar Pagoda

As a group of buildings including temple and building constructed between the square lake. Both groups called Lotus station. This station is known as the One Pillar Pagoda, square, each side 3m long, curved roof, built on the cylindrical Pillar. Pillar diameter is 1,20m; 4m high (not including the submerged part) supporting a system of wooden framework to form a lotus shaped station upright on a square area. From the outside there is a small brick path goes through the pond to a ladder leading up to buddha's altar.

According to history, Ly Thai Tong (1028 - 1054) dreamed bodhisattva sitting on a lotus, the king was brought up there. When he woke he asked his courtier. Some people advised him to build a pagoda, building stone Pillar in the middle of the pond, making the lotus of the Buddha on the Pillar as seen in his dream.

The lotus pagoda conducted in 1049. In 1954 before withdrawing from Ha Noi, Frenche army had to destroyed the lotus station. Up to now, this pagoda was repaired many times.
